Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using FixThePhrase, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

Description of Service

FixThePhrase is a daily grammar correction game where users:

• View a sentence containing a grammatical error
• Edit the sentence to correct the error
• Receive feedback on their correction
• Track their performance and statistics over time
• Participate in community leaderboards (optional)

Game Rules and Fair Play

One Play Per Day Rule

Each user is limited to one game attempt per calendar day in their local timezone. This rule is enforced through technical measures and attempts to circumvent it may result in account restrictions.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to access multiple daily puzzles through technical manipulation
• Share answers or solutions before others have had a chance to play
• Use automated tools or bots to play the game
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract future puzzle content
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent daily play limits

User Accounts and Responsibilities

Account Creation

You may create an account using Google OAuth or email/OTP authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

Profile Information

You may customize your display name and avatar. You control whether your statistics appear on public leaderboards. All profile information should be appropriate and non-offensive.

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in disruptive behavior. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting contact@fixthephrase.com.

Intellectual Property

Content Ownership

The sentences, grammar rules, explanations, and educational content provided byFixThePhrase are either original works or used under appropriate licenses. Sources are cited where applicable.

User-Generated Content

Your game attempts and answers are stored for service functionality. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to use this data for improving the game and providing features like statistics and leaderboards.

Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, distribute, or reproduce our educational content without permission
• Create derivative works based on our puzzle format or content
• Use our content for commercial purposes without authorization

Privacy and Data

Service Availability

New daily puzzles are released automatically based on your local timezone. We aim to maintain a consistent daily release schedule but cannot guarantee availability during technical issues.
